Norma's dream, which she has cherished since the time she was a young child, was to live on a picturesque farm where she could raise goats and chickens in a nurturing environment. I wholeheartedly agreed to assist her in making this dream a reality. In 2012, we established Cooper's Farm with our very first herd, composed of Kiko and Boer crosses, marking the beginning of our agricultural journey. After a few years of exploration, we began to delve into the world of 100% full-blood meat goat breeds, discovering a deep appreciation for the Savanna breed due to their impressive characteristics, substantial size, and appealing appearance as meat goats. In 2020, we embarked on an ambitious five-year conversion process to transition from commercial goats to fully blooded Savanna goats, aided by the expertise of Weekley's Farm and the invaluable guidance of Donna Baker Blankenship. As we step into 2025, we are excited to celebrate our first full year with only 100% full-blooded Savanna goats on our farm.
