WALLER SOUTHERN FARMS
Kristen and I (Chad) are both Active Duty members of the Air Force, and we have been very fortunate to be stationed in beautiful South Carolina for the past eleven years. After welcoming our second child into the world, we made the heartfelt decision to reconnect with our roots of farming and purchased some acreage that offered us a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. We started small with an assortment of animals, including chickens, ducks, and pigs, all with the goal of establishing a profitable homestead. This experience allowed us the opportunity to slowly undertake improvements on the property, such as fixing fences, clearing brush, and constructing necessary structures for our livestock. After carefully considering our options, we ultimately decided to focus on raising goats. We began our journey with breeds like Boers and Kikos, but it was during a local goat auction that we were presented with an incredible opportunity to purchase five lovely Savanna Doe’s. It didn't take long for us to completely fall in love with this remarkable breed! A year later, we took a significant step forward by purchasing our first full-blooded registered buck. In October 2022, we embarked on a 16-hour drive with our now three children to attend an auction in Oklahoma, where we aimed to obtain some of the finest stock and bloodlines available to help us establish our own thriving herd. As dedicated breeders, our mission is to produce 100% full-blooded DNA verified Savannas. We are committed to providing both old and new bloodlines while ensuring that we cull hard to maintain the highest standards. Our goal is to offer only the best quality animals, carefully raised and nurtured on our farm, to yours. All of our livestock will be officially registered through Pedigree International and DNA verified with VGL through UCDavis, assuring our customers of their exceptional lineage.
